Steamed Greens with Garlic and Lemon Juice


  • Assorted greens
  • Minced garlic (as much as you like)
  • Lemon juice
  • Olive oil


  1. Wash greens thoroughly, chop or tear into pieces.
  2. Place in pot with a small amount of water. Cover and bring to a boil. Steam until greens are bright green and tender.
  3. Remove from heat and uncover.
  4. Meanwhile, in a separate pan, sauté garlic and olive oil.
  5. Toss garlic with greens and drizzle with lemon juice to taste.  Sprinkle with salt if desired.


For Variation, use balsamic vinegar instead of lemon juice for a tangier flavor.
